The Canal Cavour is an artificial canal built to support rice farming in the mid-nineteenth century, just on the initiative of Earl Camillo Benso of Cavour. The channel originates from Po to Chivasso and ends in Ticino in the municipality of Galliate.

It is the path that allows you to know closely the stretch of Padana plain extending between Piedmont and Lombardy. The Cavour Channel route intercepts Eurovelo 8 and the Via del Mare cycle path.
